What We Do

SavingsRateHub tracks high yield savings account rates, CD rates, and money market account rates every week. We publish independent comparisons so you always know where your cash earns most.

We check rates every Monday and update our comparison tables. Rates verified on this site include a date stamp. If you see a rate without a verification date, something is wrong — we always date our data.

How We Choose Our Rankings

Rankings are based on four factors in order of weight:

  1. 1. APY: The annual percentage yield is the most important factor. A higher APY means your cash earns more, all else equal.
  2. 2. Fees: A monthly fee reduces your effective yield. We only rank accounts with zero monthly fees.
  3. 3. FDIC coverage: Every ranked account is FDIC insured at an FDIC-member bank or through FDIC-insured partner banks. We note the coverage limit.
  4. 4. Usability: A strong mobile app and easy ACH transfers matter in practice. We note significant gaps in usability.

No bank or financial institution pays for placement. Rankings are based on the criteria above only.

Affiliate Disclosure
